I love my brother Stephen - he captured Diana's life story beautifully. Diana's birth name was 'Dianna Lynn Shawcroft'.
Randy and I named her 'Diana Alice Saeger' Alice after Randy's Mom. The only thing I could add is I Love and miss my girl BEYOND!!!
I can remember the day Stephen spoke about at the agency when they handed Diana over to us like it was yesterday. The girls and I always talked about that day. I told them that she stuck her finger up my nose and we would laugh about that all the time. She was nine months old and had just cut her first tooth that day. She was such a butter ball.
Life was not always easy raising Diana but she did bring us joy. Going shopping with Diana was incredible. In the end it was too hard for her to walk so she rode those motorized carts in the store and I pushed Deashia in a shopping cart. Well, it didn't matter how sick she felt she still had to go up and down EVERY isle. One time we went to BJ's in Melville and we shopped for 6 hours. Can you believe it yes, 6 hours, well maybe 4 hours but still! We actually had to go and check out and put the stuff in our car because we had ran out of room in the carts and then we went back in again. Poor Deashia she was so tired but she was such a good girl. I had a great time with Diana in stores - her face would just light up when she knew we we're going shopping. Hats off to my girl who didn't let her disease stop her!

Here's a picture of Deashia stuffed in the car with all the food - there almost wasn't any room for her!!
I LOVE YOU DIANA AND I WILL MISS YOU EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!! YOU ARE OUR ANGEL IN HEAVEN WATCHING OVER US.
Your Loving Mom who wouldn't of had it any other way....
Deashia sends Big Hugs & Kisses your way!

My Goddaughter
Stephen's tribute was amazing, Danielle's poem once again so beautiful to her sister and my sister, Joyce, where her heart abounds with so much love and so much pain. I want to include Randy, also, when I say that my prayers and thoughts are with you today.
