I found what looks like a nice hotel for a good price. The Marriott Fairview Park is only $79 a night, and is about 10 miles from the Mall. We figure to drive into DC and park the car(s) in a local parking garage. The garage probably will cost 20/30 dollars per car, but is a lot more convenient. The hotel probably has a shuttle service, but it usually just takes you to a tram, then the tram takes u into the Mall.
