Hello. Picked up the phone just to have a chat with George about an article in the Newsday. That was all. Then when our little talk is about to end he tells me about his day tomorrow. He is speaking at the honor society dinner function. And the reason why he is the speaker is because he was chosen Teacher of the Year at his school. Congratulations!! to George.

During the speech, don't go on and on about my indelible influence. Try to give yourself some credit too.
I am honored to have been selected Teacher of the Year twice now (2000 at Geneseo HS, 2008 in Canandaigua). Tomorrow, I'll be giving a short 15-20 minute speech on the following subject: "What kind of person do you want to be in ten to fifteen years?"
It's a question we'd all be wise to consider...
I'm so stoked for this thing!
And I'm told the cookies are fantastic.
